patterns & practices Much of this happened last week but what with my white paper to finish and preparing for the p&p Summit I didn’t get time to blog about it. Anyway here goes, it’s a long list…

Unity 1.2

  • Added an interception mechanism (extension) and integration of the Policy Injection Application Block with the Unity Application Block.
  • Added two instance interceptors (TransparentProxyInterceptor, InterfaceInterceptor) and one type interceptor (VirtualMethodInterceptor).
  • Added support for generics.
  • Added support for arrays.
  • Registered names are now available as an ObjectBuilder policy so that you can do a ResolveAll from within the strategy chain. The container automatically registers itself with itself.
  • Added PerThreadLifeTimeManager.
  • Bug fixes.
  • Performance improvements.

EntLib 4.1

  • Unity interception mechanism and integration of the Policy Injection Application Block with the Unity Application Block.
  • Performance improvements.
  • Usability improvements to the configuration tool.
  • Visual Studio 2008 Service Pack 1 support.
  • Bug fixes.

Application Architecture Guide 2.0 beta 1

Acceptance Test Engineering Guidance beta 1

Distributed Agile Development at Microsoft patterns & practices

I also expect to see our SharePoint guidance ship “real soon”.

That’s a lot of stuff to get out before the Thanksgiving and other holidays kick off.
