I like what you wrote almost entirely :) 

The only part I would disagree with is where you talked about who runs the meetings. The standup meetings are for the entire team, they all get benefit from them, and they own the meeting.

I&#039;ve had good luck with explicitly *not* appointing a leader for these meetings and then getting out of the way. Someone each day steps up to start the meeting, and off they go. 

I find that one big benefit of this is that the meetings happen whether the leader is there or not!
