Latest version of NDepend

Patrick Smacchia dropped by p&p this afternoon to show off the latest version of his NDepend tool. The biggest change to the current release is a radically improved UI. It even has an Office style ribbon.There are lots of improvements elsewhere but Patrick said that the real focus has been on overall usability and the results are great.

We also talked about doing some more work with metrics at p&p. The biggest challenge when presented with NDepend is that it just generates so much data. Michael Puleio has already been working on tracking metrics over time. Hopefully we’ll start to understand which metrics are actually key in detecting degradation of your code base.
