Because I can

DSLinux and why not! I got a Nintendo DS Lite for my birthday last week. The best thing about this is that it’ll effectively allow me to teleport to London this afternoon. Get on plane, start playing Zelda… skip the next 9 hours… stop playing Zelda, get off plane. It’s the closest thing to the full Star Trek experience I’m likely to ever see. BA’s direct flight from SEA to LHR in 9:00 helps too.

The second best and definitely weirdest thing about the DS is that you can run Linux on it! Yep, someone for some reason decided to port Linux to their Nintendo. The result… DSLinux. Why would you do this? Well because you can. What am I gonna do with it? No idea but I’m sure I’ll think of something. Maybe I can host my blog on it? Seriously it’ll run a web server. All I need is a bit more memory.

  2. Zelda rocks. The clever ways they use the pen are cool and the puzzles can be quite challenging. But for an even better brain numbing experience you should try Elite Beat Agents–fun and requires minimal use of brain–sure to make time pass even more quickly. Also check out Advance Wars…
