Software Factories, more great happenings

A couple of interesting developments in the Software Factory space over the holidays…

1) Bob Brumfield – who’s taken over from me as the Lead Developer on Service Factory: Modeling Edition for Visual Studio 2008 managed to ship a CTP while everyone was on vacation. Yes, a CTP of Service factory: Modeling Edition for VS 2008 is available!

2) Someone pointed me at Software Factories: Community of Practice a great community based web site with lots of great information for those of use developing factories and/or just extending Visual Studio.

Bob will also be signing copies of his new book “How to ship software when the rest of your team has left the building to go drinking”. Make sure you get one at the next p&p Summit, it’s a fine read.
